Health Anxiety, OCD, Agoraphobia, Panic
After months of worrying about having different serious medical conditions and misinterpreting symptoms and side effects of medications as also pointing towards something serious, I'm left with daily anxiety even now that I know everything is okay. I spent months obcessing over these things and acquired severe anxiety that left me uncomfortable and unable to concentrate on anything but my worries. The constant fear I've had over perceived dangerous symptoms have lead to minor Panick attacks. I became so stuck in my head and my worries over the last few months that I withdrew from normal life and stayed confined to my phone, constantly reading about the issues I've been facing. Now I struggle to have the motivation to even focus my mind on something else and at times it even feels impossible to do so. The only time I get a break from the ruminations and obcessions over all of this is when I'm focused on a task. When I spend too much time alone or idle, my mind wonders again. Really needing support and some friends to chat with that may be going through the same thing.

it sounds like you have gotten so used to being worried and anxious about what was going on regarding your health that it turned into a habit. Hence you can't enjoy anything anymore, exhausting yourself with being anxious everytime. I totally understand how this can make you feel like it's impossible to get back to feeling fine and relaxed, but it's a matter of time until you get back to how it was before. I really hope you are feeling well soon.
I have been in the same place myself and it has been a real struggle. But I succeeded by making myself do the things I used to enjoy; even though I did not have a lot of fulfillment at first, it came back, bit by bit! Small steps everyday are really important!❤️
Also, good job and thank you for sharing your experience. It takes a lot of courage and strength to do so!
@Ines1229 thanks a lot for your words of encouragement. Sometimes when it's really bad I feel like I'll never get back to normal. I have some good days here and there and then bad ones that make me feel like it's not going to get any better. So I'm really hoping that from this point on it at least slowly starts to get back to normal.
I believe in you, you should too! ❤️ It will get better. Take small steps, and don’t expect radical changes. I believe small steps bring in an amazing slow-paced but in-depth healing process. You can do this!! ❤️
Hi, I know this is a late reply but I just wanted you to know that you’re not alone. Your post literally sounds like it was written by me this time last year, I was in a very very very similar situation and it was horrific. I also wanted to let you know from someone who has been there, that as cliche as it sounds it really does get better. Whilst I still deal with this it is so much more minor than it was, I can actually get thins done b’s focus on other things now. I found that just talking the worries out can help a lot as well as doing some online cbt and journaling. I hope you’re feeling better now❤️
I’m going through the same thing I have never dealt with this til I ate an edible which Triggered it.
Current experiencing the same. We’ll get through this
