Health anxiety
I've been dealing with anxiety and panic attacks for years now. It started with a panic attack due to taking benadryl. I felt so dizzy, out of it, heart racing, and just horrible. Since that first panic attack I've had many more. They're always centered around my health. I'll feel fine one minute then get thrown into a panic attach which makes me hyper focus on every little symptom. I cant stand it. I've had about 4 major ones where I actually went to the ER. Its embarrassing. My most recent was yesterday. I went to the ER primarily for neck pain. I pulled a muscle and have muscle spasms in my neck and not sure how it happened, but thanks to anxiety I assumed the worst and my anxiety symptoms just piled ontop of the neck pain making me feel like it was something bigger. I did learn that I have an infection, but they dont know where it's from or what it is. I was given antibiotics and a muscle relaxer and sent home. Now all I can think about is the mystery infection. I am 32. All of my tests and labs came back great besides the infection. Realistically I know that I'm okay, but I cant stop obsessing. I want to be normal so bad and not battle anxiety, panic attacks, depression and PTSD. It truly feels like a battle each day and I'm so tired.
Awww I'm sorry you are going through this at a difficult time in this moment of your life. I believe as you as this has been going on for a while. Anything could of made this come on and it's hard to say and rule out anything. I don't know what the doctors have suggested but I feel you should go back of things haven't changed. If you feel you getting worse or nothing helping there can be other treatments say looking at your meds, checking if your carrying on any extra stress and giving you a journal to write or if it is the anxiety etc and that you need it montiored more to check the frequency of it how often it happens where you are and what it could be. It's finding good coping strategies to deal with the other things what come into play. Have you tried CBT or any form of behaviour therapy? It can be good in working through the physical symptoms hope that helps
