@WildeKarde I'm sorry to hear you're feeling very anxious about your health today...do you want to tell us more about the way you're feeling and what's going on?
I also have dealt with Health Anxiety as well, it's not a fun thing to deal with at all :/
I too have suffered severely from health anxiety, the things that helped me the most is:
- first getting checked out and all cleared by the doctors to give yourself that clarity and peace and mind
- once checked out start to eat healthier and exercise, go to the gym etc, a healthy body is the key to a healthy mind, the stronger you are physically the stronger you are mentally i promise
- do daily meditation and breathing exercises to keep you calm throughout your journey and also think 10 positive things you are thankful for every day
- be consistent and worst comes to worst get a rubber band and snap it on your wrist for a quick fix, the more it hurts the faster it works
I am really sorry for what you are going through. It must be really difficult to feel anxious all the time. Anxiety can be overwhelming, and it's okay to acknowledge that it's affecting you. Have there been specific things that trigger your anxiety?
@pikaTangerine1 For example, for me is usually triggered when I get tired very easily.
@WildeKarde I’m really sorry you’re feeling this way right now. Health anxiety can be overwhelming, but you’re not alone. Sometimes, our minds jump to worst-case scenarios, even when there’s no real danger. Have you tried grounding exercises, like focusing on your breathing or naming things you can see, hear, and feel? It might help to remind yourself that your thoughts are just thoughts—they don’t define reality. I’m here to listen if you want to talk more about what’s on your mind.
@WildeKarde I can totally understand how heavy and overwhelming health anxiety can be. It's like the constant fear and worry that something might happen. It can be exhausting to deal with.
You are not alone in this, there are people out there who are dealing with this and even overcoming it. The constant worry of what will happen is tough to handle and draining. Sometimes trying to be in present moment can help, try some grounding techniques or you can distract yourself with something you find comfortable. It won't make the anxiety dissapear but it can give you a break.
You can also reach out to someone if you feel it is taking a lot of toll on you. A therapist might be worth trying or a close one to you. Talking about it can also help and you don't have to carry it alone.
You are doing your best. Take things one at a time, you've got this. :)
