Hi I
Hi, this is my story. So unexpectedly I remember the first day I had my first anxiety attack and it was all when I was using the restroom lol hilarious. I remember because I couldn't breathe and my parents weren't home so I called the ambulance. Well ever since that day, going to be 5 years now, I had my anxiety. The beginning it was hard but I tried to learn ways to calm it. It was getting a little better and only like once or twice a year I would have a big attack. So I was proud of myself. Well this year has just been a whole twist. In may I started having big attacks. And from then til now I haven't been able to control it. It got so bad that 2 weeks ago I finally seen a doctor and he prescribed me Fluoxetine(Prozac) I am really scared of taking medicines but I have been forcing it because I want to get better. It has helped me but I still have my bad days filled with some anxiety and since May I have started to get depression from the anxiety for my first time. The Internet says I can still have it for a while but honestly I'm scared. Will I get better? Is there hope that it will go away? What does normal feel like again? It's been so long. Also in May my mom left for a trip and that's also when my anxiety was bothering me and I couldn't control it so her leaving made it harder. Well she is planning on leaving again for a week and she is my biggest emotional support. I'm really hoping I can do this. And that my medicine will help me more by then. I'm just scared.

Anxiety and depression together just seems like torture. Sounds like you are very lucky to have your Mom as your support person. I was very reluctant to begin medication myself. It may be helpful to keep a journal of your good days and bad days to be able to work with your doctor on making sure your meds work for you. The Internet doesn't have a PhD and neither do I; however, I do have some life experience you may find useful regarding Anxiety/Depression and Mother/Daughter bonds.
I suffer from depression and anxiety as well. My Mom and I were very close, after she passed away from cancer 2 years ago my depression and anxiety became much harder to manage and I began displaying PTSD symptoms related to some childhood trauma. I don't mean to scare you. Your Mom is still very much alive and I'm sure loves you to the moon. Being scared is okay. Bravery is being scared and continuing on anyway.
If you have any questions feel free to ask :)
@AliciaMarieSunflowers333 I truly appreciate your response. I'm sorry for your loss. And I too know that one day my mom won't be here too. And I need to see that and work on it so when she isn't here. I know what to do by myself. That's why I am hoping for when the time comes and she leaves on her trip I will be okay like all the other times she leaves. Lol. It's like a momentarily separation anxiety because of the hard time I'm going through. Thanks so much for your words they mean a lot 💕💕💕
Hi . I heard of anxiety but never experienced it until two years ago . I lost my brother and 3year old niece to a car accident. I haven't slept since . My chest becomes so tight. I have a 2 year old daughter and I pray everyday that she will make it to 3. Last week I got into a car accident with my daughter and sister. My car was totaled. We made it out with bruises. My daughter was perfectly fine but yet my chest is even tighter now .
