How to recover from a panick attack.

Hello,

I often have panick attacks for many different reasons and no reasons at all. I am often verry calm and level head even in a full blown panick, it will never show on the outside. I usually try and sit down and do some breathing exercises and as soon as I can I try and take a nap. But in my latest encounter with my panick even though I could act perfectly normal I started to shiver like I was freezing and even now, hours after it slowed down, I feel like I have been working in the freezing cold all day and coming down with a cold even though I am sure I'm not.

I know my story might sound strange but I'm wondering if anyone has any tips on how to cope better and "recover" faster?

Thank you for reading.

West

Hi @RationalWest! I think it's amazing that you've already found ways to help yourself start to calm down from a panic attack. It can take a lot of focus, time, and energy to bring yourself back down from a really bad panic attack. I would encourage you to read this thread that @PhoenixAsh wrote on handling panic attacks. It's super informative and has some good tips. Another resource you could look into is a self-help guide that 7 Cups has for panic attacks. You can find that here.

Best of luck to you! Stay strong, you're doing a wonderful job. heart
