I AM ANXIOUS BECAUSE THIS EXPERIENCE IS NEW TO ME
I have just noticed that most of my content have the word 'new' in them. Is it that that three letter word scares the living breath out of me? Of course yes! When I mess up or anything, I tend to love a 'new' beginning and everything of the sort but when my everything is just normal, thank you God but please! No new things. Why? Because the new thing will perhaps drag with it sorrow and pain.
I thought that I will have all this holiday to myself, watch movies, eat popcorns, chat, make memes, visit family and all of those stuff. I had great plans. Those were great plans. Until a bad experience creeped up on me and scared me to death. Talk of being a walking corpse for a while. Then boom! I was forced to look for a job and start working. Life should really go slow on surprises.
This is the D day. I have to go for my first interview. I am happy, without say but I am also anxious, scared and the countless butterflies in my stomach are not making it better. Grrrr! Grrrr! My stomach keeps complaining but I ate a heavy breakfast, you greedy sac! Everyone turns their eyes on me and I am like, 'Thank you stomach for embarrassing me again. I thought we are all in this together.' I peruse my mind for encouragement and the words of a friend are the first ones to register. "You can learn new skills there, and a job opens up opportunities." I am like 'I can do this'. As we speak, I am still in 'I can do this'.
WHAT I AM TRYING TO SAY IS, EVERYTHING IS POSSIBLE. YOU CAN DO THIS OR THAT. DON'T BE A PESSIMIST. BE AN OPTIMIST OR AN OPPORTUNIST.
WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO HELP THE HURTING TODAY?
I used to hear this phrase more often, 'Hurt people hurt people" but I never really thought of it until I watched a certain documentary (1999 Columbine High School massacre in Columbine, Colorado) It took place because two teenagers, having been bullied, decided to shoot their bullies down. That is sad. In that connection, all bullies, who hurt the bullied, also tend to have their own unsolved personal problems. It is like they take out their pain on others. I watched a movie of a woman who shot his husband's store, killing three innocent people, after finding out that his husband was a cheater. Seriously, there is no better way to explain this other than hurt people hurt people.
And how can we help the hurting today in our society? What little things can you do to stop this hurt chain reaction?
