I’m in the house a lot
I leave for the air force in a month and a half so i’ve been staying with my cousin until then. All of my friends are in the next town over it’s only 15 minutes away but I don’t go down there. I spend a lot of my days sitting in the house thinking about what i would like to do for fun. I read, play on my computer, call friends, eat, sleep, sit outside sometimes. That’s not enough for me. And there are times where i’m given the chance to leave the house but i won’t. I’ll start to think about it days before it happens and i won’t show the day of. I’ve missed many opportunities to hang with new friends i’ve met by saying no we can hang another weekend . That weekend would never come. I’m trying to figure out ways to get uncomfortable and start new things, do you guys have any recommendations.
Since earlier this year, this was, is an issue I'm currently dealing with too. I spent so much time inside my house that I've gotten too comfortable, also way too comfortable living inside my head. Its nice to be indoors but at the same time it doesn't benefit us if we stay inside our safe bubble. That's the thing with anxiety. We get comfortable with it but we pay a price by missing out. One thing I did differently to switch things up is doing puzzles, word search, board games, things like that that helps challenge your mind, getting out more, and as much as chores stink, they also keep us occupied. I'm a hands on person so I need to do something that I can work my hands with. It's hard and it can be scary but meeting up with your buds would definitely benefit you and it gives you a chance to have a support network nearby. Try something new that you never thought about trying before
Hey there! I hear you and your struggles! Sometimes writing a to do list and incorporating one outside event whether it be go to the park or even to the grocery store could help! Just take it one task at a time! I hope this helps! If you ever want to talk please don’t hesitate to message me!
