Insomnia alert!!!

Apparently this Christmas period has taken a tol on me. Normally I would go home and spend the whole week from xmas to NYE with friends and family which is my fav time of the year but this year I couldn't do that and it stressed me out so much that I've triggered my anxiety and depression... which feeds my insomnia so much that I found myself stuck in this never ending circle of overthinking and tiredness. I've tried lots and lots of things from breathing techniques, to sounds and baths and bedtime rituals to melt my fear of not being able to sleep away... and it's not working... I've started considering Xanax or other stronger stuff like that but I've been advised against it... any ideas on here? I'm afraid for the worst if this goes on for much longer... Thank you!!!

I'm sorry you can't go home and enjoy the holidays with your family. Unfortunately, a lot of people are in this situation this year. We all have to hope for the best. As for insomnia, I suffered from it, so I know what it is. I took pills but found out they could be addictive, so I replaced them with health enhancement products (I order them at the Online Pharmacy). Also, I started doing sports, drinking more water and meditating. And a long walk and a warm bath before going to bed help me sleep better.

@Kira1425 yeah, the fact that a lot of other people are going through the same thing makes me feel even more sad, but that's not even the problem anymore, it was just the trigger. I was on edge from before xmas, so that was just the spark at the end. What pills did you take (and the healthy alternative), if you don't mind me asking. I'm trying CBD oil/valerian root/pillow lavender spray and cammomile tea at the moment. Thank you!! 🙏🏻

@idetoxl

Try melatonin. It can help you sleep. take it in some warm milk about 15 min before you go to bed. During that time just try to relax it should kick in.
