Job anxiety as nurse

I am currently struggling with anxiety with my job. I started working in a hospital as a nurse about 8 months ago working night shifts and it's really taking a toll on me. For me it's the co-workers and not really the patients that make me not want to go back but i've also had patient's yell and swear and become violent. It's hard seeing people be so sick as well and I didn't feel prepared. It's so hard when you enjoy aspects of the job but other people out of your control cause it to be a mess. I'm not really sure what to do about it other than put up with it for a little until I find somewhere new where I am respected and less stressful. But i'm getting panic attacks and constantly anxious. It's also messing up my sleep so much and I feel like it's triggering preexisting mental instability in terms of bipolar disorder/depression. I just feel so stuck.

This is so sad to hear. I also experienced that. I just want to say that you are doing a great job being professional and still trying your best to cope up with the environment. I hope that one day you'll find the stability in your work with good and healthy co-workers

I have always dreamed of working in a hospital and helping people, but sometimes I wonder if I can handle such an emotional burden, but every time I start to doubt, I have a serious conversation with myself, someone should help people

I believe that helping people is a calling, but not everyone has it, I also always dreamed of helping people, and now I’m moving towards this goal, I’m studying to be a doctor and I want to say that it’s very difficult, but I think it’s worth it, because. to. Now there are many services that make life easier for the student.
