One trigger I have is low-talking. I mean, if I hear a family member talking quietly, it triggers my anxiety because I think something is wrong and I don't know about it (and therefore can't control it/fix it). It's only family members. I could be in a room full of strangers whispering and I wouldn't care.

For me it's lack of communication with my friends and family. I know life gets the better of us from time to time, but if I don't hear or speak to someone for a while (which could be a couple of days to a week) I start to worry that they don't care about me anymore. Then that starts the spiral of loneliness and questioning my life choices.
It's really hard at times because I want to talk to someone about what I'm thinking but then there's my voice telling me not too and that it's all a waste of time.
When I was in a relatioship, which ended this year, near the end my partner managed to make me feel lonely unintentionally. So that began the insecurity and anxiety and worrying. I went from someone surrounded by people to being alone and I think way too much for my liking. I use Headspace if it gets too much and that really does help but like many people in this world, I want an instant fix that doesn't exsist.

I do find meditation and sunlight to be a major help for me. But when you live in a country (UK) where it's not always sunny, it can be tough especially this time of year. I use a daylight which does lift my mood and that can be all I need to stay clear of negative feelings in which removes thought triggers. If anyone uses music as an escape then may I recommend a pianist Ludovico Einaudi. His music, I find, to be very soothing and can help me clearly connect to what I'm feeling and understand what is going on.

Sorry if this was way too much!

Right now, I think it's when I hear anyone mention Hawaii or when anyone asks about my family.

Getting triggered can be difficult. In the beginning, we may not even realize that that's what's happening. But I think the awareness of it is already a step toward being able to cope with it. And I think it's important to stay aware of the present moment; observe ourselves and notice how we react to these triggers, and find what can calm us down.
