Hello I was really afraid to years ago when I first got on 7 cups so I created aHello I was fake identity so that I could speak and fake i it's taken two years plus, for me to finally have gotten the help to the point that I can pretty much say anything on this website. However I still do not use my real name. I contacted Glenn the owner of the site and explain this to him, and thank him for allowing me to use the site. This site has been instrumental and my progress. I once had no help and this site saved my life. Some people on this site have incredible strength wisdom, understanding, and very kind souls. If it were not for many of the kind people on this website I would have never gotten the help that I have gotten. I finally feel a renewed sense of hope, I finally got out of my own way and started being very honest with myself and with others. Helping others as I went along was very rewarding. As we learn in suffern, we share the progress together. Finally I have two therapists now in the psychiatrist and in four months I have made drastic improvements and been diagnosed with PTSD from the war in Lebanon Beirut 1981-82. Do whatever you have to do get the help, to get the understanding, and to learn how to look at yourself openly and honestly. Many blessings, Day

When you find the right listener it's actually really easy to open up. I had to go through a couple of listeners until I found the right person who fit my needs - who understood, at least on some level, the issues I was going through. Take some time and research the listeners along with comments people have made so you can find someone that's best. For example, if you were having struggles with your teen kids, you wouldn't want a listener who doesn't have kids.

Everything here is anonymous and I think that really helps to open up. I enjoy being able to comoe here and get things off my chest that I can't do "in real life" with the people around me. It actually makes me better in my real life.
