My anxiety gets the best of me
Hello everyone! I hope whoever reads my thread knows that anxiety is the worst thing to have. It's been affecting me so much and I unfortunately cannot get the help due to financial reasons so I have to rely on free services like 7 cups. I wish it can go away, it makes me really sad that I can't do what I want to do most. I cry in silence for how irritating it is. I never got to be able to get a part time job for my college expenses. Never have I worked because I'm so anxious of failing and getting fired immediately. I have turned down so many opportunities and interviews because of my anxiety. It's not only with jobs, but college too. I have been wanting to join clubs, go to events or activities hosted in my college. Unfortunately, I get so anxious being around a lot of people. It puts me in a terrible mood. When it happens, I either get out of there, or sit by myself isolated. I find comfort when I'm anxious by drawing or writing often. And that's about it what I have to say.

I am so sorry to hear that you have to deal with all of this alone. Anxiety might seem like arising from a thought or a physical uneasiness, but it can really effect a lot of areas of our life. And I can understand that you might not be able to get the help that you need at the moment but I want to tell you that you already took the first step to get some help by being here and sharing how you feel. I am so proud of you for that, it isn't easy at all.
Yes, it might be very debilitating to not be able to do live the life the way we want to because of this anxiety and it might seem that everything is okay at the surface but deep down you know how frustrating it can be. Crying is the most physical way we can express how things are not okay and how filled up we are inside from all the pressure. But believe me, this expression of being not okay, is really okay.
I can relate to how not applying for anything new seems like a better option at the moment because it is so overwhelming and as you said, what if things don't work out? It is a real situation and I can understand how this might be keeping your anxiety wheel turning.
Drawing and writing are really amazing options to express ourselves in non-verbal ways. I am glad you have found such productive way to feel better while also get some creativity going. What are some of the themes of your drawing and writing?
@HealerWithin So sorry for responding late, but my themes of drawing well I like drawing anime like drawings. They're not the best but I pretty think they are because I've improved so much over the years. And writing, I write stories that pop up in my head. Crazy and fun stories inspired from what I grew up with or new stories never heard before. But it does helps, it keeps me in peace.

That's amazing! I like to draw anime drawings too. :) It is so much fun to do. And Yes, writing helps. And I love that you go with your instinct and go with the themes that pops up in your head. You do have some creative ways of expression. I wish you all the best in your creative journey. :)

@Juliette7170,
I know it’s been days since you post this, but I just hope that your not alone on this. I suffer from anxiety myself and it’s ruining my life every single day. Not sure if by now you have any tips that maybe are helping you get your days better.
I just feel that anxiety is also consuming my whole life I’m also afraid to be around people theirs days that I dont even want to go out to drive because I get so nervous that people are following me it’s not good. I don’t know about you but if I go to a place and I see a lot of people there I freak out and just immediately want to leave that place. I’m also the type of person that wants to be alone most of the time, I feel alot better to. I’m always in my room either listening to music, singing, our journaling to. I have my regular Dr that has been prescribing me medication to help me with my anxiety, but I feel like it’s not even working. Plus I intend to have anxiety attacks more at night to that is really hard for me to fall asleep.
