Overthinking
I keep overthinking everything.
Every small mistake that I make, everytime I talk to someone.
For example
I just started an internship and I didn't serve a client his coffee correctly. Something everyone should know. I keep thinking about stuff like that, keep making up excuses and keep hating myself for it. Even months later, I think about it everyday and feel ashamed about it on a daily basis.
The same thing happens with a conversation I had with a stranger in March or an interview I had in July. I still replay this in my head over and over to figure out what I could have done better and why I'm so awkward.
This happens with almost everything going on. With conversations I have with people, and with everything I do.
How do I stop overthinking so much.

Hi, I completely understand what you are going through. I also struggle with overthinking. I think part of the reason why is because sometimes we hold ourselves in prisons of perfection. Sometimes we feel that we can't make a mistake and if we do then we're a failure, which isn't true. This can lead us to replay our innocent mistakes in our minds over and over again and then start hating ourselves for it. When instead the rational thing to do would be to accept these mistakes as learning opportunities and not failures that decrease or worth. Sometimes when we are patient and loving to ourselves we can stop overthinking every detail we say and do. I know it's easier said than done.
Take Care!
