Overwhelmed By Anxiety

I accidentally posted on the wrong board and I feel like this might fit better here.

I don't feel like I can imagine my anxiety and agoraphobia ever getting better to the point where I can live a fulfilling life. I've been trying to take things one step at a time but sometimes I can't help but get overwhelmed. My anxiety feels insurmountable. I feel like I'm so hypersensitive to everything, like I absorb other people's moods and feel their emotions. I overthink. I worry too much. Basically I'm really struggling with my anxiety and agoraphobia and the depression that tends to be exacerbated by them. I want to believe it'll get better but sometimes it's hard to convince myself that's true.

I don't have a magical phrase that will bring immediate enlightenment but I just wanted you to know... you are not alone. Some of your statements made me wonder if you are an "Empath." An Empath is someone with a heightened ability to apprehend the mental or emotional state of another individual. It can be quite exhausting to say the least.

All you can do is take it step by step. And if one step makes you feel overwhelmed, it is okay to step back again and focus on an even smaller step.

Sending you light & love.

@JDolphinLPC

Thank you so much for the reply. It's greatly appreciated. I think I have to keep reminding myself it's okay to take small steps forward instead of getting hung up on feeling like I have to change everything all at once. Changing everything I want to change at once would be amazing but it's not realistic and I can't hold myself to unrealistic standards. That's probably what makes things feel so insurmountable sometimes. I'm focusing on everything all at once and that's too much. Again, thanks for the reply. Your kind, supportive words mean the world to me.
