PTSD/anxiety
Sorry Long post...please delete if not allowed.
First time post here. My husband and I found out we were pregnant after thinking it would never happen at the age of 39. The pregnancy went well up to week 35. My blood pressure skyrocketed and ended up being in the hospital three days. I ended up having to have an emergency C-section. My LG came out healthy, only she weighed 4lb 12oz. The doctor let us go home two days later with BP in the 170s. That night I had terrible swelling in my feet and legs, so I went to bed with them propped up. Around 6 the following morning I couldnt breath and had to be rushed to the hospital with low oxygen. The OB there said I had post preeclampsia, but the cardiologist will tell me I have heart failure, which I dont. Went to the cardiologist and had an echo done, results came back normal and hearts pumping good. Then was weened off the heart meds. I still take 10mg of BP at the moment. But for some reason I have been having terrible anxiety the same time every day. I do not feel depressed or anything, just all of a sudden get short of breath, heart racing, hot flases and so on. Dr is putting me on some anxiety medication called Paxil. I was wondering if anyone else went through this and how you were able to over come it and how long it took. Really looking for good news. Thank you for reading.

Welcome,
Don't apologize for the long post. I'm sorry you had to wait three days for a reply. It's okay if It's a first-time post. I admire that you had enough courage to post. I'm sorry to hear about what happened. I know that must have been difficult and traumatizing to an extent. I'm sorry to hear about the symptoms that you are experiencing possibly because of the heart medication. The medication could be causing you anxiety. I'm glad your doctor is trying to help you with your anxiety. Because I know anxiety can be a lifelong issue for many people and it's difficult to control. I hope you're okay and your baby is 0kay and that you're feeling better. I hope they figure out whatever is going on as well :)
You are not weak or alone, and recovery may be gradual rather than immediate. I hope things become easier for you soon, and congratulations on your baby girl:)
@Jestine83 Hello Jestine ! I am happy to listen to you ☺️
