Two weeks ago I had one of The worst nights of my Life. My heart started to beat at weird rate and I had problems with breathing. For A second I thought that I have A heart attack. A result of it was that I had hyperpnea. I was so afraid and scared for my life. At that Time I didnt know that it was a panic attack and The feeling of unknown was making The panic attack worse. Now, I know what it is and I am not as scared and I am trying to calm down.

The worst thing is that in my case panic attacks appear usually three Times A Day. I Would Love to get rid off Them and live normally.

@turquoiseLake1251

I had a very similar experience a few years ago. I've never had panic attacks until they just started one night. After that I usually had several attacks a week or even in a single day. I felt terrorized by them for weeks and months. I know that that's incredibly exhausting and it's important to take care of yourself and rest plentifully. Every panic attack is basically your body running a marathon, so get a healthy amount of sleep (or other types of rest) if you can.

It can be very difficult to manage panic attacks, but you will learn and adapt. Talking about your experiences and finding other people with the same problem helps a lot.

It may take time, but you can overcome having panic attacks, I promise.

Best of luck to you <3

You aren't alone! First know that. I suffered from an emotional breakdown 3 months ago. I was having panic attacks and night terrors. I started with medication, then the Listeners on here, followed by an online support group, and next week I start one on one therapy. It's been a very long journey, but it does get better. It's your path. Take your time and you'll find the first steps the hardest, but you've already done that. This community is amazed and supportive and everyday I reminded I'm not alone in this!
