Parenting Anxiety
I read that anxious/depressed parents are more likely to cause their child’s inability to form lasting friendships…. And now I’m spiraling into all the ways I’m hurting my kids by being me. I’m taking bday party cancellations personally…. I can’t tell if I’m being nuts or I’m really just hurting their chances at a good life
Relax. I'm sure your children know that you love them and you are doing your best. That's all that matters. Believe me . Just the idea of you thinking about it and diving deep to understand how you are affecting tour kids is a sign that you are strong and self aware and you will be OK. No parent is perfect. Children don't care about that. But I think it would be a good idea to find a support group in your area. It might help you see that you and your kids are doing as well as the rest of us.
It's normal to worry about parenting. I personally took a very long time to get used to the idea of becoming a father. I work in a family by myself and I can't leave my child alone at home. During the quarantine, I could stay close to my son, but now I had to go to work full-time. So I started searching the Internet for information about Brooklyn Child Care and found an interesting website of little scholars. I think it will be very useful for you to read this, too. It turned out to be a real salvation for me. Good luck to you, friend!
