Physical symptoms of anxiety

I don't know how to deal with physical symptoms of anxiety like tightness in my chest, sweating and ragged breathing. The stinging in my chest because of anxiety is the worst. I try to control my breathing, sometimes it helps, sometimes it doesn't.

Hi @sensitiveSailboat

New here so forgive me if my forum etiquette is all wrong ~

I have really bad chest issues when i'm major stressed too. I don't know how to breathe sometimes. But the other day while I was trying to slow it down during a small fit of panic, I suddenly started imagining my breathe as tiny darts?? Controlling my breathe like I was shooting stuff through a straw, and aiming it at the monster of my stress. Idunno it's weird and goofy, and im not saying i defeated the monster with my hyperventilating bullets, but i think the idea of doing that made me laugh and ultimately calmed me down.

But sometimes visualizing stuff works. Its a lot better than clenching your jaw and waiting for it to pass.

Either way, good luck ♡ Take care of yourself.

@Mes2020 No worries. Thank you for replying. I find it helpful and it's still better than waiting for it to pass. Take care.
