Pretty sure I had an anxiety attack last night

So I'm on a college trip right now to PTK catalyst in Nashville. We had some freeway time last night so we went to a couple of bars. I had a couple of drinks and had a solid time.

But when we went to the karaoke bar, it was so crowded with obnoxious drunk people, with so many loud noises, I think it set my anxiety off. When I got back to my room, I started to cry. My breathing went up a little. I brought my buspirone with me, which I haven't used yet, and I had to take a dose before bed.

I guess all the loud noises and people got to me. I've been doing really well since starting my second bottle of Prozac. It just bothered me a little. But I'm ok now.

I still sometimes get the feeling that I just don't belong anywhere. Seeing all those people wasted, talking about random things, hugging, kissing, it kind of made me feel like I just didn't belong there.

I bumped into a girl outside of the bar, and she asked:

"What's wrong? You look so sad?"

"If there's anything I can't stand, it's loud noises and crowds. And I guess I just don't belong here."

"Where do you belong?"

"I don't know".

@Nick8876 Sounds like you had kind of a good time but ended up a little bit out of your comfort zone in the end. That's OK! Good for you to know what kinds of places you're just not that comfortable with. Just because you don't belong there, doesn't mean that there isn't a place where you DO belong. Try to narrow down some places or situations that you do feel comfortable with. Sometimes you are going to have to venture outside your comfort zone into a place where you feel kinda overwhelmed, but hopefully you can feel like you do belong somewhere. Certainly you belong here! :)

Hang in there and hope you're doing OK.
