Raw nerves

Today, I have an appointment with a new doctor. I don't know why I should be nervous; I've been through plenty of doctors in my life. But it's inevitable, I suppose, with anything unfamiliar and unknown. My stomach is doing flips and all I want to do is hide away from the world or eat or both. My nervous are on edge. I know that I want to go through with this and that it will be such a good step forward into a new, healthier life. But now that the day is here to keep the appointment, it's nerve-wracking to take the plunge.
