Relationship Anxiety
I am struggling with trying to trust the person who I'm getting into a relationship with. its nothing to do with the person but its to do with me I'm just scared they're doing to leave like everyone else does when they realise how much my depression and anxiety ruin my life i mean i know they won't but I'm still scared that they do
@tinypetal
Many people in relationships happily support the person they love in all aspects of life and that includes mental health. Your partner may wish to help and support you through any hardships and it's okay to allow that to happen. It won't make them like you less and if it did, then they're not the right person for you. I know it's easier said than done, but please try not to let your worries prevent you from doing something you want to do.
@SilentSerenityy i suppose i have been trying bc i do really like her its just really difficult to really like comprehend that there is someone who likes ME and is willing to stick around to help me
@tinypetal
If she didn't like you or think you were a nice person, what other reason is there for her dating you?
@SilentSerenityy ive thought about that so often i dont know why she wants to date me like, i know why i want to date her but how cold anyone like ME
@tinypetal
But the point is, there is no other reason that she is dating you other than the fact she likes you for you.. and that's all you need to know. Going over it in your head a million times won't give you the answer, it will make you feel worse and withdraw you from the relationship in general.
So I had a friend who I really trusted who left me behind, essentially abandoning me. It hurt a lot and it made me hesitant to trust anyone. But I met another person and he was super sweet and kind and caring. He promised many many times he would never do anything to hurt me, he would never abandon me, and that he would keep telling me this until I believed it. Well, after a while, I began to believe it. I was happy and he was happy. Whenever I seemed off he
@MusicFlower I really understand that I get close to so many people and they just leave me without a care. this girl has been my friend for a while now and it started to turn into flirting and (hopefully) a relationship soon. she struggles with some anxiety herself so she is a lot more understanding than others have been and I feel like it might be different but then again I can't bring myself to trust as much as I'm really really want to.
as for you, I really hope you can trust again its what you need and deserve there are people out there for you,,, you're still young so don't stress too much!!
@tinypetal It
@MusicFlower im feeling a lot of the same things you are and i havent figured out yet how to handle anytning im just trying anything i can
Actually goin on vacation with my significant other. It is so exciting but that excitement sorta diminishes because I havent been feeling confident in our relationship lately and I dont want to ruin the trip.. will I have a good time there having these doubts.. I dont want to feel like This.
I do so much and I love him, I cant help this overwhelming anxiety of having to end something that I dont want to end but I dont feel good. He doesnt know and I dont know how he would react theres the possibility he might not care idk or he does and then Im the one whos overreacting or something. I dont want to say anything this close to our vacation (which is a week long trip), should I say something afterwards and try to stick it out and see if my feelings change?
@V2323 honestly if i was me i would wait it out bc i always make rash decisions that i later regret but do what feels right
@tinypetal youre right, i tend to make some impulsive decision just based on my lowest thoughts n feelings. I need to make sure I am in the right state of mind at least whether its to stay or leave.
I am 3 months into an exciting new relationship but I am growing concerned that our sex life is out on pause so often. I have been accuse of wanting intimacy too often but in that relationship it was happening maybe once a month. The accusation, made years ago, makes it difficult to talk about with my new partner. It has been almost 3 weeks since we have touched one another. We still kiss and hold hands. I also have trouble initiating sex. I have verbally asked for it and the subject was changed. I told my partner I wanted to be more assertive about what I want but it felt like a rejection when I asked and he ignored me. I dont want to hold onto these things but I am worried.
