Right Now
Right now, I cant breath. Its like being underneath a rock and stuck undersea.
I beg and plea
but no one else can see
that reflection of me
is really the helpless me
someone longing to be
Free
to touch the sky
never asking why
Who doesnt need to cry
and just spread my wings to fly
but right now, im under the sea
where I cant breath
All because of anxiety
something most of the world cant see
I feel similar a lot of the time. Anxiety can make us feel so alone, and sometimes that even brings me more anxiety - to be alone. Thanks for sharing your poem here, it's very relatable. I know it sucks to feel this way, but at least we don't have to feel so alone in those feelings.
@Shadsy I'm sorry about how you feel. I know how difficult it's to be in this situation.
But honestly, you'll be completely fine.
You'll fly in the sky like you want. And it'll happen soon.
those are such lovely words, you have clearly shown how anxiety actually feels for you. being unseen and trapped says a lot. it sounds so painful. you are not alone in this and you deserve to feel free
@Shadsy, this is wonderful poetry. I always enjoy reading, but this one felt strongly. Anxiety is a really challenging emotion, and you have portrayed it wonderfully. Sending loads of love and strength your way.
@Shadsy
That's deep and it sounds terrifying. It's like you are trapped and suffocating beneath a huge weight. You are not invisible in this struggle. You are here and I am listening
@Shadsy
Hey there, try to take deep breaths.
@Shadsy thank you for sharing this. it sounds like your anxiety feels really heavy right now, like you’re stuck under it all and struggling to breathe. that must be overwhelming. how are you feeling today?
@Shadsy
Such a beautiful yet painful poem, the imagery is haunting and the metaphors used are so amazing..I love the poem Shadsy. The allegory behind the lines "being under the sea and no one can see me" and "no longer cry and wish to be free but can't breathe", its just so so painfully relatable and heartbreaking.
I love this poem, the raw emotions and the desire to escape the torture that anxiety makes us suffer and the wish to be free from it all is like reflecting through the poem like the same water.
Maybe I can't see you, but I can hear you. I see your laments and feel your pain through this wonderfully composed poem.
Thank you for sharing Shadsy 💙🫂
