School Anxiety
Hey everyone! I joined seven cups not long ago, and just thought it might be nice to create a thread about anxiety and mental struggles related to school. School is always stressful especially in MIddle school, High school and University, but it is especially so since things are different this year due to Covid-19. You all can share your thoughts and fears here - we won't judge you :)
I'll start: I'm going into my junior year of high school, and needless to say, I am scared. Worried that I will struggle like in grade 9 with education, getting good grades, and balancing my time with family, friends and clubs. I don't wanna burnout, so if anyone has any tips for avoiding meltdowns and burnouts and tips for executive dysfunction, it would be really great :)

Hey there! I'm sorry to read that you're experiencing some anxiety about going back to school. I'm sure you will hear from many other members here who are feeling the exact same way, especially with all the changes happening this year!
In general, developing good time management and study skills are great ways to stay on top of schoolwork and reduce stress and anxiety. My suggestion to you would be to try and identify the specific things you struggled with last year. Making a list can be really helpful! Next, reflect on each of those items you listed and try to come up with ways you can avoid having those same issues again. If you need help with this exercise, or if you'd like more support or resources on anything I've mentioned, please let me know and I'd be happy to work on it together with you. :) Take care!
