I have so much happening this week, giving a presentation in front of one of my classes and I always get so anxious about giving speech and public speaking because I don't want to mess up or make anyone disappointed in me. I also my permit test and I really want to pass, because I feel like I don't pass on the first try I'm gonna disappoint everyone and be a failure. my overthinking has made me close up a lot because I feel like it's better if I don't bother people with my problems and I know a lot of people have it way worse than me so it's not right for me to vent about how I'm feeling. and there are just a lot of negative thoughts and I'm not sure how to handle them. I'm just overwhelmed and I have a best friend that I could open up to, I just don't want to overwhelm him anymore. I'm really overwhelmed and don't know if I can keep going

@smolstrawberries

It sounds like you're feeling a lot of anxiety and pressure on yourself to succeed. I'd feel pretty anxious too if I believed there were some high stakes linked to my performance. I remember the onramp onto the freeway being the scariest thing I could be asked to do! It may be helpful to focus on the things that are under your control and don't worry about the things you can't control. This diagram illustrates this point: https://learningrenaissance.wordpress.com/2018/07/06/self-control/. You can control your understanding of your speech topic and on-the-road mechanics so do your best to prepare and don't worry about the rest! Have faith in yourself that you're up to the task!
