Severe Social Anxiety
At this point of my life, social anxiety has severely taken over my life. I've been shy since I was a child and now I'm about to turn 24 soon and still have about the same feelings. I'm constantly worried or saddened by something and that makes it hard to focus on important things. As I get older, I find myself more and more sensitive and less able to be around people to the point that it feels like I'm having a panic attack all the time. I haven't made any new friends that I stay in contact with since highschool and barely talk to them because of so much self doubt. I feel I push people away and those who care about me are frustrated or hateful because of how react towards them.

Social anxiety is one of the worst feeling someone can have, I understand you.
It stops you from a lot of things, like parties, new friendships , even new relationships.
Im sorry to hear that made you lose a lot of friends. I truly believe that is time for a change in your life. You've been trying to distract from the feeling of social anxiety, and letting that feeling over you
Thank you for your input. I've given a lot of thought to what you said and I completely agree. I've been distracting myself from that painful anxiety and something about how I'm dealing with this or what's affecting me needs to change. Since these panicking symptoms exist, I've determined that I will need to see a therapist of some kind. Even when I'm not experiencing this social anxiety, I'm shaky, worrying, and it's like I can't think. I've spent a lot of time in public speaking classes and the nervousness I felt from presenting in front of my class has been carried with me everywhere. I was hoping to face that fear but its like I made it worse. I just need personal help with this!
