Stress/anxiety about the future

I’m currently in college and am considering switching schools. I tend to overthink things, so this decision is weighing pretty heavily on me. I’ve applied other places and am waiting to hear back, but everyone around me always wants to know what my plan is. The problem is I just don’t know what I’m going to do yet, and most of it is out of my hands while I’m waiting to hear back form these schools. Most of the time this is my parents and friends asking and they are just trying to help but all of the questions I get from them only make me feel more overwhelmed. Any advice on how to approach this situation and not worry so much about it all?

Why are you wanting to switch schools? I teach high school kids and have a class that specifically helps plan out futures. One of the things I tell my kids is not to switch schools with out good reason because you are likely to lose credits that won't transfer. Sometimes it is unavoidable but not preferred. On not knowing what to do thats ok. I would highly suggest volunteering or interning in a field or fields you are interested in to find your passion.

I’m looking to transfer schools for athletic reasons, but am not sure which school is the best fit. It’s also a matter of whether or not I will have a guaranteed spot on the team, which is only adding pressure to the decision. In terms of credits transferring nearly all of my current credits will transfer to each school.

Thats a hood reason and as long as all credits transfer fine its not as daunting as it may seem. Like u said though you have to make sure you are guaranteed a spot so I would speak directly with the coaches of each school and see what they will offer. Normally one will stick out above the others.

Thank you, it’s easier to put it in perspective looking at it that way. :)

I understand you very well. Once I also really wanted to transfer to another institution and worried that I would not be accepted. Because of this, I started insomnia and stress. On Canadian pharmacy I read about good ways to calm down. I started exercising regularly, taking antidepressants and doing my favorite hobby (it will help to distract). I also realized that my stress will not change anything and everything that should happen will happen and vice versa. I follow this rule and now that's why I'm fine!
