Support needed (please)
I've been anxious the entire day. Even though my mind is feeling a bit better, my body is still in recovery since I got very ill from my anxiety. I'm pretty certain this is normal, especially since I've barely ate today. I'm eating bits of pretzels and water throughout the day though. Can someone reassure me that this will pass and is normal?
@moonwolf75 Quite a few people feel nauseated due to anxiety. Here's some info https://www.healthline.com/health/anxiety/anxiety-nausea#15-Minute-Yoga-Flow-for-Anxiety
Generally, avoiding foods that irritate your stomach can help the feeling pass sooner and just sticking to what feels tolerable.
I hope you feel better soon!
It’s normal! You’re probably caught in the cycle of anxiety, it’s always difficult for me to escape if I’m feeling multiple physical symptoms. For me watching a movie or videos really helps because it’s visual and there are distracting noises, when it comes to videos multiple people talking to each other helps me and also talking to other people about random things helps to distract myself. Hope you feel better soon, you’ll get through this! :)
Hi there! I'm so glad you decided to reach out today. First of all, I hope you're feeling better! Getting ill from anxiety feels awful! I'm so glad you're keeping up with eating and drinking and I'm sure you'll feel better soon. You got this!
I also get this way. Not eating definitely makes me feel 10x worse. No appetite. I force myself to eat a roll w butter as fast as I can get it down, and about 20 mins later I start feeling better. Its so hard to deal with I completely understand. I can say it will pass. Just how quickly is different for everyone. Once the feeling starts to pass, I start keeping myself busy and it really helps.
I also get this and it's a normal part of my anxiety (though definitely a sucky part!). Maybe drinking a sports drink might help, to give your body some easy energy and salts etc. Then you can slowly move on to other easy foods, for me it's toast with butter and cheese.
