The pattern

I experience anxiety and it’s effects horribly throughout the day. I get dizzy, shaky, cold feet, racing heart, nausea and a multitude of other symptoms. Days are tough and it feels like a constant battle being on edge all the time. I do have a moments of peace when I am with my mom and I am forever grateful for that but when I am alone it’s very hard to ignore it. However I noticed that my anxiety seems to disappear as the day ends. When people are leaving work, going to bed and the sun is setting, I feel energetic and calm. This is something I don’t understand, why I do feel confident and calm when there is total silence at night? Is it because there aren’t any expectations at night? I am trying to break this cycle where I am nervous and nauseous all day. I want to be productive not just at night. I am hopeful I can do this but my personality stops be from being overconfident generally. I will try my hardest to be aware and break the cycle!

@a1locker

I get that feeling as well, though not so much in terms of anxiety but just in general. It makes it doubly hard to maintain a healthy sleep cycle as during the day I'd just loose energy and want to nap/not feel like doing anything.

There's always so many things that could be contributing at any one stage that I tend to feel trapped in a web, trying to follow the strands. For instance,

- I struggle with insomnia but even when I do manage to have a healthy sleep cycle, it's still as though I am more "hyper" and like you say, confident at night.

- I get light and sound sensitive when I have a migraine on the way which might be something or nothing to do with it.

- I was a workaholic at one stage and used to do a lot of work at night so that might even have had an effect on it.

Either way, I hope you find a way to break the cycle as that would be great if you could have that confidence and energy boost during the day!

I relate to your experience a lotttt, even with the migraines, it’s debilitating sometimes and I hear you. It’s somewhat comforting knowing that I’m not the only one experiencing these things. I wish you all the best and I hope we can come out of this stronger together :)

I feel similar. Especially the panic part. And then calmness at night but I'm still scrolling to make myself as ease.
