Trying to moderate our fun time can help
I know most of us might want to binge on movies, cartoons,. anime, games, food ,etc. I think the key here is try to limit ourselves. For instance if we want to watch cartoons to feel happy / escape, we could say ok I will watch 25-50 mins a day, like one episode, like we should try to be our own father, and say how much we could watch. Then we could do other things that we need to do. Same goes to other stuff, trying to put a limit to ourselves is a very healthy way to not do abuse on food, enterteinment, etc. Remember a bit every day is good, but too much of something is not good
So true! binging can turn an innocent 25 minutes into hours if you go for the "just one more" approach. Sounds so cruel to even suggest limiting fun, but we are better off using the rest of freetime doing something else that is fun, just less mindnumbing. (binged a certain show , 4 hours in a row just cause a new episode was coming out and i was behind..never felt more like a completely wasted evening :)

Moderation is definitely key to happiness. If alcohol makes you happy, go ahead! Don't say you can't have it, but don't take so much it affects your health and others. Great post!

I love that you posted this because I completely agree! As someone who self admittedly also suffers from anxiety, in order to "feel happy or escape" like you said -- I find myself tending to binge on movies, shows, games, food, etc. I also wholehearted agree with you about the key being to try to limit ourselves. I notice I am much happier when I choose to be mindful of what I am doing, for how long I plan on doing it as well as when I self-regulate/self-monitor/limit myself like you said. I feel the same way. Everything in moderation. Moderation is key!
