Worrying about worrying

Hello everyone. I suffer from anxiety. Last June I had a medical condition that went untreated that turned into a even more serious medical condition. That lasted for about six months. Somehow my anxiety has turned into hypochondriac. Even though I just saw my doctor and all I have is vitamin D deficiency and a sinus infection, my mind still wants to tell me otherwise. Vitamin D deficiency can actually cause you to get sick more often. If I am not feeling OK I Google every symptom I can. Its beginning to affect my relationship because thats all I talk about. Even when I have bloodwork and a doctor telling me things are OK my mind doesnt understand that. I feel like Im going crazy. How can I stop the cycle of worrying. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

@Green09

Hypochondriasis is very hard. One issue is availability of the information online. You feel the anxiety of the health worries, you look them up, and you think youre manifesting those systems, it is a very complicated situation. If you can restrict access you can halt at least a part of this cycle. We have many listeners here who are willing to offer emotional support.

Good to have you here.

@Green09 I understand, I went through a similar thing a few months ago. My parents spent so much trying to find out what's wrong with me, when it was just horrible anxiety and maybe some depression. Sometimes, it gets so bad, that my panic attacks came about 3 times a day, and it was a vicious cycle. But as sucky as it is, you can always find ways to relax on your own. And when it comes to the vitamin D, usually it comes from milk/cheese, fish, eggs, or you can just get some sunlight.
