anxiety at school
when i'm at school i often feel anxious. no reason exactly i just get really fidgety, sometimes i can't stop doing something with my hands and then i can't focus or write. whenever i get called on to speak or i have to get up and do something in front of the class i get really nervous... like in my spanish class, we often get called to write something on the board in groups and my heart starts beating really loud and fast and i feel myself panicking a little, but there's nothing to do in these situations except wait it out. speaking also scares me, i think over fear of being wrong and voice dysphoria. i'm in mostly honors and ap classes so when someone makes an embarrassing mistake, usually the whole class laughs. it's something i've just gotten used to after years of being in honors, so that's probably why i have this fear of embarrassing myself.
i also have trouble speaking to new people at school but it's inconsistent. like a few days ago i met these new people and really clicked with them, i was able to speak just fine, and that hasn't happened in a long time. most of the time i get fidgety (i was a little fidgety around them too), i mix my words around, and i mumble and speak really fast and then the person gets confused and looks at me like they think i'm crazy. it's so weird because i've never had this problem before in my life. i've never been outgoing but i was just a little shy, nothing like this. :(

Hello! I am sorry that you have this feeling in the school. Specially in your spanish class. Spanish is my mother tonge and the language I had to learn was english. Languages are meant to connect people, and are learn naturally when someone you care about talks to you in that language.
People laugthing at mistakes may feel unconfortable for many of us. Also, introverts may have a more difficult time in places crowded with so many people. Something that helps me is to focus on the other person when I am speaking. That way I am less in the "I may be doing bad thing" and more in "how may I help you thing". This answer is probabbly full with spelling mistakes and migth cause laugths on me, but I am focused on you.
You will probably find lot of good strattegies and resources in the net. Some of them may suit your needs.
I hope you find your way, and wish you the best.
Hugs. =)

I completely understand how you feel. School can be really hard with people making fun of you at slight mistakes and being in such high classes. Something I know that help me are things like small fidget boards or reciting things like the abcs backwords or counting up to/down from one hundred. It can help clear your mind. Undertsnad that everyone makes mistakes. I know thats something you probably hear all the time, but its true. Most of those mistakes won't matter in life. You have to remember that we are here for you too <3 I hope this helps you :)
