a realization

I have been having the thought that people's response to my art has been a reflection of their thoughts of me as a person. That the two are somehow intrinsically connected, and that they are ignoring me out of spite.

Could this be true? Possibly. But is is probable? Not really. Is it my problem? No.

Hello,

While I haven’t seen your art,

I’d like to add my experiencing in viewing art.

Personally, I don’t like to connect a person’s art to the artists whole-being.

As I feel artist have a range of different ways of how they approach their art and what inspires them.

I’m sorry that you had that experience.

Feel free to share your art with us<3💛✨

it's hard to imagine sometimes that what people see in your work is not the same thing that you see. Art a lot of the time is a very vulnerable thing. Artists put a lot of themselves in the work, and it's easy to associate themselves with it intrinsically. And as you said, that may not be the case for the viewer!

it's a comforting thought <3
