being perceived makes me anxious

I wonder if this is common. The idea of existing and being acknowledged and perceived by other people gives me so much anxiety. Sometimes I get so terribly hyperaware of my existence that it genuinely scares me to the point of a panic attack and dissociation. Even looking into the mirror and touching my own skin brings me into a state of paranoia. I just can't stand knowing other people know me, basically 'experience' me and have their own version of me. It's just really scary.

Does anyone know what's up with this? What can I do?

@Hydrangea03 people who are obsessively trying to do that to you are afraid of it themselves and trying to strike back to control you and keep you under stress. It's sad but people are easily duped by hysteria. You're not scared of being known, you're appropriately aware of the people around you. Being known is lovely and beautiful, but obviously we all are entitled to keep what we want to ourselves. You can never know somebody COMPLETELY, though most think that about one another. But as long as anyone doesn't try to break into your psyche, you're good-- someone who tries that is just abusive. Best of luck.
