feeling stuck
So today I completed the last big assignment of my college career. I'm suppose to be excited but I have this heavy feeling in my chest and it feels terrible. I have no idea what to do now. I've been waiting for this day to come and now with the coronavirus going on I can't get the closure I think I need. It just feels like I'm floating into adulthood. No job, all internships are cancelled due to the pandemic, no graduation :(. This sucks. I want to cry, but nothing will come out.

First of all, congratulations on completing school. That's a huge accomplishment. Unfortunately you're stuck in this moment of "waiting." I wish I had some proper advice I good give you. But to be honest - this all sucks. Completely.
So many people have lost so much over the past couple of months and each day we're all stuck in quarantine, everyone is getting angrier and more frustrated. Not sure where you're located, but here in the United States there is A LOT more frustration happening these last couple of weeks.
When I hit rock bottom, I spend a little time there crying, laying on the couch, and eating things that are terrible for me. But then I realize that I can't stay there forever, and I find a spark of motivation to try a new approach. So, how can you approach things to find a positive moment for yourself?
Is your college not doing any kind of graduation? Even an online ceremony? If not, create your own with fellow graduates. Get dressed up, get on a Zoom call and each take turns giving a short speech about how you made it through college. (Record the call, too!)
For jobs - that's a tough one. There are still people hiring out there. There are a lot of online jobs, too, that you might be able to start now, and then transfer to a physical location when the time comes. I guess it depends on what your field of study is. And if you there isn't anything you can do just yet, why not send letters to companies that you'd like to work for and just introduce yourself. "Hello, I'm so and so, a recent graduate. Due to the current situation, I understand you're probably not looking to bring on new staff, but I just wanted to reach out and introduce myself now in case there are any openings in the future." And then share your background and why you'd like working for that company.
@thoughtfulmomma Hello! Thank you so much, I appreciate your honesty. This all does suck and I am here in the states as well. Watching the news and seeing how angry everyone is just makes it worse.
I do lay around all day eating snacks and crying too. Maybe i'll start doing yoga again in the mornings, I do really enjoy that! About graduation, they have rescheduled it to Sept 27th now, I am praying we are able to do that. But if not I love the zoom idea!
I also didn't think about sending letters to jobs. Thank you, I am going to make a list right now. You really helped a lot! I hope you and your family are safe during this time 🌻

It's a good thing to stay away from a lot of the news. It's not very helpful or informative. And it just makes you feel worse. (I feel better when I don't watch it.) The snack binging isn't good. I have been baking and eating CONSTANTLY and have completely slacked off on exercise. A few weeks ago I just did some simple stretching and was amazed at how much better I felt.
It's nice that there's a date for graduation, but it's a long way off. Maybe there's still something that you can pull together for now. Have an online party with your fellow grads. Everyone can grab snacks and drinks and just have a fun Zoom party.
Definitely be proactive about the job hunt. No one else is, so this is the perfect time to be first in line in front of everyone else.
I hope you're feeling better today and you got at least a little bit of yoga in!
