low self-confidence, feeling ugly
I went out for a walk today on my own (the first time I've been out on my own in a while) and I had a face mask on most of the time because I feel so self-concious of my face, I just feel like I look really bad without it. I hate people looking at my face, I just feel like I look so ugly. how can I stop feeling like this??

Thank you for sharing what you're going through. And that is such a good thing that you went out for a walk, it has been really not so common anymore since the start of pandemic. But I see you did it. 😊
Putting on a face mask is more of a necessity these days but I can see you have a different reason. Being conscious about how you look must be making you so anxious. Some portion of our self-confidence comes from our self-image so it makes sense why you would feel that way. We often have insight into how we feel about ourselves but when it comes to others, it is so difficult to know how they perceive us unless they actually tell us. So their perception of us as ugly or pretty is their subjective opinion.
What is your experience when you walk by strangers on the street? What are some of your thoughts about them?
