ok, so
i wanted to share my story here because i like to think i have nothing to lose.
i have never been diagnosed, my parents won't allow it but they like playing guesses on whats "wrong" with me and how should i fix it.
i can talk with people i dont know, it makes me physically sick when i try to "make new friends" online or in real life the same. i used to think it's ok to push myself to find new people even if i started hyperventilating in the bathroom after 10 minutes of conversations. it took me more 3 months to even try to talk to one of my ex coworkers. i dropped out of uni twice even if i liked what i was learning, got fired once because apparently i "didnt show i LOVE LOVE this job" resigned once because i couldn't handle it. i moved cities 2 years ago and i met no new people, i had more anxiety attacks than ever and now i am moving again.
ive had it. i tried to get support from my family to get at least some professional help but it's always the same answer: push myself into situations that literally either make me puke or trigger depression. i just want support.
ok bye had to get this off my chest i dont know how much sense this text has but kinda helped me put it out there
@wittyFig966 Hey Welcome!
I'm sorry to hear you aren't getting any support at home. It's hard when the people who are closet to us just don't or won't understand. That's the cool thing about being here at 7cups. There are people going through similar things. It's nice to know we're not alone with our struggles.
It really does help to get things out here. The whole anonymous thing really helps with it. I mean you know it's still you but beyond your screen name and profile pic. People only know what you share here. It's unbiased.
I have anxiety problems myself - its hard. Trying to talk to people - even just the simple exchanges. Worrying about what you say - what the other people are thinking. It make me sick at times too.
You aren't alone with this. It's great to see you reach out - I hope I see you around.
Be gentle with yourself and your thoughts.
* no worries about typos - we all make them!
"the only way to solve this problem is by facing it!!!"
person: *faces problem* *becomes more and more stressed out* *their experience reinforces the problem* *tries to avoid the problem*
"but you gotta face your fears!!!!"
