Hi everyone I am new here, I am 15 and I am so so paranoid and nervous all the time that it actually hurts. My heart pounds and I always have flashes of being too hot then too cold. My legs shake at school and in public places, and I sweat ALOT. I dont have many friends, I have two real friends and a boyfriend. They have said to me that I worry too much and often when they tell me things, I think WAY too much of it, and I wont stop going on about it because I think of all the bad things, I cant help it.

This has been going on for around a year now. I feel like I am getting judged everywhere I go and this stops me from doing everyday things. I hate going on the phone to people, I hate going into places. I would feel more confident if I went to the gym about my body but you cant see through the door and this makes me very nervous to walk in. It has stopped me from going in and atleast trying to make me feel better. I am still in school, and stopped doing PE for a few months, because I get paranoid and embarrassed and very nervous to do things infront of all the girls. I hate doing things like this, I even faked a sick day off to make sure I didnt go to the big sports day because I didnt want to be seen.

When I am told something bad, my heart starts pounding and I get this hot feeling in my heart, it actually even hurts sometimes. I was bullied in year nine, for a long time, this got sorted out but I actually stopped going into school for weeks because of it. And when I finally did, I went to a help centre where I hid for a while. I hate going to active places, I get so nervous and hate it so much. I also get out of breath very quickly and I hate how this stops me from having fun:( I love being alone, and every weekend and evening after school I will get in and go straight to my room. I will only ever see my boyfriend and two bestfriends, but I even get nervous around them and always think they are thinking bad of me.

I also had a job interview for Tuesday, but I have cancelled it because I am far too nervous.

After finally a year feeling like this, On Thursday, I made a huge step and booked a Doctors appointment for my mentality. I tried to speak to my mum about it, but she just said it was stress because of my exams ( I leave school in a few weeks) and that I just should not worry, but she doesn't understand, its not as easy as that. So I have booked one but keep feeling like I should cancel it because I dont even know what to say and Im scared to walk into the room. My bestfriend said I need to go. Only my bestfriend knows, my boyfriend doesnt even know, I dont know whether to tell him or not. But I have a feeling that I am being silly and that everyone experiences this and if its worth going to the doctors, if they will think im wasting their time? Is it worth going, is it normal to feel like this?

@peachBalloon7395
It isn't normal to feel like this - well done on getting help and good luck.
I don't have it nearly as bad but I really want to get an appointment just to confirm it; just in case there is something up, but my Mum is not very helpful so i'm trying to get help on heer and with friends

Good luck! (again)

@peachBalloon7395 Yes sweetie everything you are going through is real, and I'm sorry you can go through this. Please try to go to the doctor if you can. You deserve the help! Maybe ask your friend/boyfriend to go with you?

Those comments "You worry too much" come from people who are ignorant/not educated about anxiety issues. What you are experiencing is part of chemicals in your brain that you can't control, so it's not your fault, and you aren't being silly at all. You should actually be proud of yourself for trying to see a doctor! That is a great step. Maybe the doctor can help you find a counselor too.
