Anxious about lockdown
Hi.
I've been in lockdown for the last 4 months, and haven't even stepped out on the front door. I feel I have back tracked in terms of the progress I had made. I feel so threatened to go out, fearing the smallest things like will people be able to hear me through the mask, since I'm soft spoken. I know this is so irrational but I'm just so scared. I've had multiple breakdowns in the last few months over petty things and go out and facing social situations seem impossible.

Lockdown has had this effect on so many people, so you are not alone. Social isolation has such an impact, and many people are isolating online as well due to the stress. I know I have. It's very easy to feel like you've regressed, but just hanging in there is feat in itself.
I find it comforting to try to remind myself in social situations (when if comes to going out in public to a store, for example) that the person I'm speaking with wont remember our encounter as they have many throughout the day. It's possible that might help you too? I'm very soft spoken myself and have had to repeat myself multiple times in a row-- but the situations turned out alright in the end despite my high anxiety.
Hope some of my words are helpful and that your isolation goes better and that you can find some comfort. It's not at all easy during this time.
