Bathroom issues
Since i was little i have always been embarrassed of having to use the bathroom. But as i got older it just kept getting worse. I am afraid I will have to poop or pee and there wont be a toilet. It is ruining my life and creating problems for me to enjoy my life. I get very bad anxiety when i know i have to go out and theres not a bathroom close by. When i go into a store first thing i do is to look to see where theres a restroom. My life is being controlled by this and its super embarresing so i have not told anyone. When im driving im constantly saying okay i can stop at that gas station if i need to or i can do this if i need to go. What am i suppose to do to get over this? I have tried many things to get over this.
Hey first let yourself know that people do get weird paranoids and it's completely okay. Because it's all not going to happen.. But just to make yourself completely belive in it try to challenge yourself this way.. Eat healthy and keep you health and stomach at check, and use washroom evertime just before you head out! Nothing new though everbody does that. And say to yourself we'll see if I the situation you imagine will happen or not! And it will not right? Remind yourselves that everybody you see has something weird on themselves and it's all about your thought process and you can get over it. Hope that helps
@lovingOrange2944 Hi there I was just wondering if you have found anything that has helped you at all?
@lovingOrange2944It sounds really tough to live with that constant worry about needing a bathroom. What you’re describing is sometimes called “toilet anxiety” or a type of specific phobia, and it’s more common than you might think. Working with a therapist, especially one trained in cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), can help you gradually face these fears and build confidence. Exposure exercises, where you slowly challenge the anxiety in safe steps, might be part of that. Have you thought about seeking professional support for this? Meanwhile, would you like me to share some small strategies to help manage the anxiety when you’re out?
