Believing myself wasn't enough, so what is?
I'm about to start a new graduation, after dropping my last one. Due to the stress of social anxiety I ended up without any motivation to attend my classes. I'm so afraid I will repeat everything again. When I started my last graduation, I was very positive (isn't that what people say? 'You just have to believe in yourself'. I did) but then things started to go really wrong. For example, not once, but twice, I started crying in front of all the class during a seminar. And there were different sorts of activities that gave anxiety, even written activities could make me so nervous. Time went on and I gave up trying, because I felt so scared that I could do something wrong, that people would see it and judge me and I would feel humiliated. Well, I don't know what to do now, because believing in myself was clearly not enough. So what can I do? I'm afraid if I feel the humiliation I felt before again, I won't have the strength to overcome it and will end up dropping the college again.
@HiThereOi For me, being confident is not just believing in myself. It is also an ability to be calm when everything seems terrible. On other hand, there is totally no shame in feeling scared or crying because situations can really be stressful and hard. Fears indeed make it all harder, I would suggest there is good also to develop some coping skills which support and help you, besides just believing in yourself.
I would try some affirmations to meditate on and say to yourself during the day when you are feeling emotional. Wishing you well!

I can see why you feel anxious. Worrying about judgment from other people is a big block and hard to remove. Believe in yourself is not enough, but this is the first step to build confidence against judgment. Everyone has different background and growth path, and that's why there are so many different opinions just for one thing. You have your own unique experience that makes this world more diverse. There is no one can judge you because they don't know what is behind the scene. So, have confidence that you are you, and that is fantastic!
