College Chem
So my college chem class gives me 5hrs of homework a day. I get some anxiety because I do not know chem. I am a neuroscientist, but I do not understand chem. My teacher keeps excepting us to know chem and calls us dumb when we don

It sounds like you get a very heavy workload of homework, may I ask which level of studies are you at? I agree that it can be pretty upsetting when our teachers actually throw in pressure and do not support us in dealing with it. I am sorry to hear that you get called dumb or feel anxious because of these remarks - no teacher must really call names but rather perhaps guide students on the tasks... I am curious to know whether you have a counselor or supervisor which can be spoken to for further support.
I personally also found chemistry as one of the things I simply couldn't easily understand, and I too used to consider biology as one my strongest subjects. However, after seeking the support and guidance from my teacher and some of my friends, I managed to find my struggle get easier, and successfully passed those college days. I still do not like chemistry, especially organic chemistry, but I no longer need to really study it as I'm currently a psychology undergraduate.
I really hope you can resolve this issue and feel better soon. Please remember what matters is that you are trying, and I am sure you are trying your best.
