Didn’t think I’d be here
This is my first day on the forum, literally joined 10 minutes ago. Reading through some experiences I thought I’d throw mine out there. I joined this forum because my anxiety has skyrocketed the past week. It’s not as intense as the others I’ve read but it’s enough to make me believe I need to join a support group. Before joining I felt like I was breaking down, I was tearing up in anger because I was trying to join another support group and the technology simply didn’t work. I remember other days where I would be laying in bed thinking and if an embarrassing moment popped into my head my whole body would jerk around in a seizure like motion (It’s most likely not a seizure but it scares me every time). I would tell my siblings about it and how I do believe I suffer from a disorder but it feels like they brush it off. I remember I would be in public with my brother and I would mention that I feel very anxious and every time he would respond with “just stop being anxious”. Even mentioning that I had these seizure like motions was not taken seriously. I’ve had panic attacks before, but the anxiety of this week has topped that experience. I wish I had more help, but being a teen with pretty much no close friends, no car, and really no privacy is starting to drown out my hope. So I never believed I would join a group, but in many moments i do believe it could have the possibility of rejuvenating that hope. Thanks for reading this.

I'm glad you found 7Cups and that the technology is working better than the other group you tried. Sometimes it's just nice to be able to come here and talk out your anxieties and stresses to people who aren't your immediate family or friends. Especially when those people are going through similar issues.
For people that don't suffer from anxiety, a very normal reaction they have is just "relax" or "stop freaking out." I think I can speak for everyone who has ever suffered with anxiety or had a panic attack - if we could just "stop it" WE WOULD. No one likes feeling this way.
Come here whenever you have those moments where you just need a space to breathe!
