Have you ever felt like that?
Have you ever felt nothing?
I treated anxiety disorder from my 12 years old till my 17s, I used a lot of medications in that time and now I’m free, by the way I’m 19 now.
I study law, I’m from Brazil, my name’s Rafael, I don’t know how to describe this, but I feel happy most of the times, and sometimes, I feel nothing, I don’t feel sad, I just lay in bed (sleeping late as usual - 2 am) and look at the roof, feel some calm tears falling from my eyes, I feel them in my cheeks, sometimes is only one tear.
Sometimes I’m brushing my teeths and I see my face, I’m already crying, sometimes I feel like I don’t have someone, not that I need, but I don’t have closer friends, and I know people like me, I just can’t relate to people with best friends and stuff.
I like what I’m studying, but I know I don’t love it, I find it insteresting, but, I don’t know if I love something, or if I should have a purpose in my life, I just feel lost, I like somethings, some people, but I feel like I had never been truly connected to anything or anyone.
I just take life as I can, but I don’t know what I’m doing here (don’t worry, no suicidal thoughts, I just don’t know who I am or what I should do).

Hi Rafael,
Thank you for opening up and sharing your feelings with me. It sounds like you're going through a tough time, and I want you to know that you're not alone. Many people experience moments of feeling lost or disconnected from themselves and their purpose in life.
It's great that you're studying law and finding it interesting, but it's okay if you don't love it. It's important to explore different interests and find what truly brings you joy and fulfilment. Have you considered trying new hobbies or activities outside of school that could bring you joy? It could be something as simple as going for a walk, painting, or listening to music.
Regarding your feelings of not having close friends, know that it's okay to take your time in building relationships. Sometimes it takes time to find people who we truly connect with, and that's perfectly fine. You could try reaching out to people who share similar interests as you or even joining a club or group to meet new people.
Remember that it's okay to feel emotions, including feeling nothing at times. It's important to acknowledge and validate your feelings without judgment. If you feel like you need additional support, there are resources available such as therapy or counselling. Don't hesitate to reach out to a professional if you feel like it could be helpful.
Take care of yourself, and know that you are not alone ❤️
