I guess my brain works differently? If a friend walks up to me in school and tries to talk I'll avoid that confrontation because I fear rejection and embarrassment and I don't want to say something stupid so I pretend I don't see them or pretend I don't hear them. the only time I talk to people is when I know what I could say. If it's something they like then it's safe to talk to them because I can't embarrass myself. I tell myself that they won't say anything but then my panic takes over and I flee. Social encounters make me uncomfortable. I have little conversations in my head and think hey maybe today's the day I talk to someone and then boom I panic and run.
