Hi everyone I'm aquapenguin but just calls me aqua. I like to spend my free time playing games, read manga, or taking a walk with my spouse on a sunny day. I always find myself troubled with explaining myself to people or stand up for myself. This communication issue also backs up by a language barrier. It makes me feel worthless every time I'm engaged in social interactions with people.

Hello! I'm tealhemlock1330 and I love reading webtoons, listening to music, and psychology. Something I find personally difficult is presenting in front of a group, regardless of size. I feel like this is due to the fact that I don't feel good about what I'm presenting and the other part is that I'm so afraid of my audience that it makes presenting taxing.

Hi everyone! Thank you being here. I hope you see my username as I don't remember it, it starts with persistenTown. I feel that haha. I enjoy my sober sisters and hanging out with them, I love playing music, and reading about anything and everything. I have a hard time with self forgiveness and am looking for any advice, much appreciated! Love y'all

@persistentTown7042

One of the best strategies I know of for self forgiveness is to think about what you would say to a close friend if they had the same problem you are facing. Nearly everyone would be kind and forgiving to their friend, give them soothing words and try not to make them feel worse. This is exactly how you need to treat yourself. Treat yourself like you are your own best friend. This can be really hard if you grew up around very critical people who always told you what was wrong about you. Those voices can stay in your head even after the people are gone. This will take time. Be kind and patient with yourself just like you would with a friend!

I'm Jenn I enjoy spending time with my fur babies (dogs and cats), watching movies/crime drama TV shows and knitting One thing I find hard doing is speaking up in general. I clam up way easily and shut down when others are loud around me.
