I shot my shot and I wish I didn’t

Long story short, I asked this guy to prom that I didn’t really know, via a meme. He said he wasn’t going and then I sent some stupid meme and I feel like he literally is so annoyed even though I barely know him. I’m not that upset that he isn’t going, but I am just humiliated and have been spiraling all day, going through moments where I feel ok and then leading up to all this shame and regret. I know I only have a couple more weeks of school and I never have to see him again, not that I ever really see him anyways. I just feel so embarrassed and I don’t think it’s gonna go away anytime soon.
