One thing about social anxiety...

One thing about social anxiety is that we often feel like we have to force ourselves into situations that make us uncomfortable, that we have to act like everyone else and to meet others' expectations. But we don't have to be an "interesting" person or to be always pleasing to others. We don't have to do everything right and perfect. It's ok to be silent when everyone else is speaking. If you don't have as many friends as others, it doesn't mean that there's something wrong with you. There's no shame in being alone and quiet when the others are gathering in groups. If you're not in a relationship or don't have an ideal amount of friends, it's ok, eventually you'll meet other people in life. If you don't have a job or haven't achieved your academic goals yet, it's fine, you'll have time to work on it and each person has their own timing.

Agree. People worry about how other people think about them, and that creates lots of pressure. I think is because people are living in groups and try to be social. It takes a lot of brave to be ourselves. Although we know we do not have responsibility for other people's thoughts. Set ourselves free needs practice. We are all on the way to become freer.
