PTSD stress
I suffered from traumas some years ago, and I have their symptoms these days. Now, I have anxiety to interact with people (family) who made me traumatic. I seek to avoid society because my illness (schizoaffective) caused me embarrassing situations. Taking this manner of living is unhealthy because I won't be able to socialize, and it is a fundamental need as a human. Any suggestions to manage my sociability?
@Samar19 For me, finding groups that have common interests of mine is a great way to start socializing. I like board games, so I joined a group of board gamers through the MeetUp app :) This has led me to meet some amazing people. If joining a group in person feels too overwhelming at first, maybe joining an online group might be a bit easier! Good luck, I know you can overcome your anxiety!
@Samar19, hey I hear you . I understand. It's really frustrating.Anxious thoughts often begin with “What if...” and end with a disastrous outcomes. , We both know Thoughts are not always accurate. What we tell ourselves may or may not be correct.
