Social Anxiety issues

September 18th, 2020

Hi. I'm Vara. I have struggled with social anxiety for years ever since I started public school years ago. I always feel nervous around others when they may be angry or yelling and screaming. I'm not the type to want to make others angry and I hate being yelled at. I just want to know why I always feel afraid of people who get angry easily.

Hi Vara! It's completely normal to feel afraid of people who get angry easily. Your brain is always trying to protect you from danger, and it simply perceives these people as dangerous. Of course, it doesn't have to stay that way. Here is a self-help guide that could be useful to you:

Alternatively, you can try connecting with a trained active listener to talk about your fears, or take daily steps on your growth path.
