Hi im a teen who has social aniexty, and i dont really know what i should start by saying but its been a while since i have had it and the worst part of it is school, its really hard for me to communicate with others there or sitting next to someone in class and i keep thinking everyone is staring at me and judging me even outside of school, but after socializing i feel fine and dont have to worry its just that its always repeating for me, i even try to tell myself that this world is just my imaginary, like when i go to school i feel so much stress and my heart keeps pounding fast, when i leave i feel very fine and normal i wish social anixety was never a thing... when i was a lot younger i used to be very social and i could make friends easily it breaks my heart what my younger self would think of me now, it really sucks i even have had some bad thoughts because of it.. i just hope for my future that it goes away, people are very lucky who have never had it, also does anyone feel the same or is it just me.😞 i hope someones sees this.

@lovingApple76 I hear you 💗 social anxiety really sucks 🙁 I'm so sorry your dealing with this🙁  I know you don't exactly have a choice, but you still get up each day and make it through school which I think is amazing you should be very proud of yourself for doing that💖💖 have you tried talking to your head teacher or any teacher you can trust and maybe explain what your going through and ask for a safe place you can go to when you feel to overwhelmed?? Gives you a giant tiny hug 💗 right here for you 💗

  • Hello, I know how hard it is to deal with your anxiety, and I appreciate you for taking a step to talk about it, one of your power is that you have an insight of your problem and you want a change in your life, and that makes you even more strong. You need little help and support to deal with it, and it's a manageable condition. Sending my support and prayers to you.

Hey! It’s brave of you to open up like this that’s a huge step. Just the fact that you're aware of what you're going through and can express it like this shows strength. You’re not broken, and it can get better over time. Please don’t be too hard on yourself for feeling this way. The younger you would still be proud of you’re doing your best in a really tough situation💙.

@lovingApple76You are not alone. A lot of people your age feel the same way, even if they look confident on the outside. Social anxiety can make your body react like there is danger even when there is none, which is why your heart races before school but you feel fine once the moment passes.

You are not broken. You are dealing with something many people learn to manage with time, practice, and support. The fact that you used to be social means you still have that part of you. It has not disappeared. It is just buried under stress.

If you ever have bad or unsafe thoughts, please reach out to a trusted adult or a mental health professional. You deserve help and you are worth caring for. Talking to a counselor at school can be a good first step.

You can get better. Social anxiety does not stay this intense forever, and you already took a brave step by talking about it.

@lovingApple76 Hey, I hope you are better now. and I understand you because I am currently experiencing social anxiety in school. my past trauma gets triggered when I am in school or when I try to talk with someone there. These times will pass and we will be able to talk with people just like everyone else. Sending a virtual hug on your way :)
